Break The Chains of Backyard Dogs by Shopping Online

If you’ve ever been saddened by the image of a dog chained up outside or left outside in the extreme temperatures, then you should know that there is hope – and help – for these dogs.  Often, that help comes in the form of educating the owners about how to take care of their dogs. We work with families who are willing to work with us, to become responsible pet owners.  Now, we’d like you to work with us by signing up with the program, a free way of raising funds that will help us help these pets.

Every time you shop at any of over 4,000 retailers online, could be donating a percentage of what you spend to The Backyard Dog Project.  Goodshop is an organization that has raised nearly $11 million for 110,000 non-profits nationwide since 2006, and they’ve done with the help of thousands of people around the country who only had to shop online.

You will still be able to shop at your favorite retailers, from Bloomingdale's , Holiday Inn, and PBteen to Gettington, Bath & Body Works and Walgreens, only now you will enter their sites through the Goodshop shopping portal.

The added benefit of going through the Goodshop portal, aside from the donations your purchases will generate, are the dozens of coupons Goodshop provides.  If you were to view the CheapCaribbean coupons in Goodshop, you would see terrific savings, such as Save $100 Off Cabo Vacations or Save on Hilton Resorts.  Goodshop will donate 2.5% of any purchase you make from CheapCaribbean.  You will save money and The Backyard Dog Project will receive donations to buy basic supplies and veterinary care for these unfortunate dogs who deserve better treatment than being penned or chained up 24-7.

Sign up at, designate The Backyard Dog Project as your non-profit, and let your online purchases generate funds that will provide vaccinations, dog houses, straw, flea-tick treatment, heartworm prevention medicine and other basic items to outdoor dogs.  Maybe that purchase you make at Zales or Gap will educate owners who are willing to learn, and one day, we won’t see as many dogs spending their lives chained up outside.
